Enya - And Winter Came..Jenny Ousbeyleicestershire.co.uk (online) Dec. 20, 2008 The album cover of Enya's latest offering is a bit of a giveaway, its snow-flecked trees and white horses a reflection of the never ending wintry theme which can be heard throughout this record. There is no doubt the Irish songstress has a beautiful and haunting voice but this collection, albeit 20 years after her famous 'Watermark' album, sounds strangely familiar – all uplifting heavenly choirs and the like. I listened to these festive tunes while I decorated our Christmas tree and they were the perfect backdrop to a setting of baubles and twinkling stars. This would probably make the perfect present for your mum, just don't expect your cool Indie boyfriend to like it. Note: Transcribed by Book of Days. |
